CLE Regulation operates under the Commission on Continuing Lawyer Competency and assists attorneys with keeping track of their CLE hours. It is designed to enhance its members' professional competence as lawyers. Active lawyers are required to keep current on the law by adhering to the following requirement.

The Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia met at a regularly scheduled meeting on June 8, 2024, and approved proposed rule changes to Part VIII. Continuing Legal Education. The changes were drafted with the aim of enhancing and updating the rules.
A publication notice and the proposed rule changes are published in the Recent News section on the State Bar of Georgia’s website. Members of the State Bar of Georgia are invited to file comments regarding the proposed rule changes. The procedures for filing a comment are located in the publication notice.
